Already on Surgery Connect and Accurx? Most of the integration work is already done.
Auxilis already integrates with both systems, so we can skip the integration build entirely and move straight to configuration and go-live.

Clinical safety and assurance
We send the compliance pack pre-filled. Your practice reviews and signs it.
The paperwork an NHS GP practice needs in order to approve Jackie is written before your first call, not requested from you afterwards. Nothing goes live until your clinical safety officer has signed.
How the platform is governedWhat arrives, written
- Clinical safety case (DCB0129) and hazard log, maintained by Auxilis
- Pre-filled DCB0160 deployment documentation for your practice to review
- Data-protection documentation for your DPO
- Your configured workflows, written down
How the platform is assured
- DTAC 2.0 assessed
- NHS DSPT compliant
- Cyber Essentials Plus certified
- UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018 compliant
- ISO 27001 aligned
- Annual penetration testing to CHECK standards
Jackie works inside administrative workflows your practice defines and does not make clinical decisions. The practice remains Data Controller, and anything outside the agreed rules is routed to your team.
Frequently asked questions
How quickly can Jackie be live?
If your practice already uses Surgery Connect (X-on) and Accurx, Jackie can start answering routine patient calls by the next working day through Fast Track, subject to the required practice approvals, system access and deployment availability.
If you use other systems, Jackie can still be deployed through the standard route, which typically takes 2–4 weeks.
Which phone systems does Jackie work with?
Jackie is not tied to one telephony provider and can work across GP phone systems.
For Fast Track, your practice needs to use X-on / Surgery Connect because it is the quickest to configure — not because it is the only telephony Jackie supports. That is what lets us move straight to configuration and go-live.
If you use another phone system, we can still deploy Jackie through the standard route, typically in 2–4 weeks.
Either way, you keep your existing practice number and telephony contract, with no new phone hardware required.
Does Jackie work with other online consultation and triage systems?
Yes. Jackie already works with major systems used in general practice, including Accurx, eConsult, Klinik, SystmConnect, Patchs and FootFall, as well as other form-based workflows.
Fast Track uses Accurx because it is the quickest to configure — not because it is the only system Jackie supports.
If your practice uses another supported system, Jackie can still be deployed through the standard route, typically in 2–4 weeks.
What does Jackie do with Accurx?
Jackie works through the questions in your practice’s approved workflow during the call and enters the patient’s answers into the relevant Accurx form.
She is not simply reading a form aloud. Jackie asks what the conversation needs and maps what the patient tells her onto the information the workflow requires.
The completed information then reaches your practice in Accurx, ready for the appropriate member of the team to review or action — rather than reception having to listen back to the call and re-enter the information manually.
How many patient calls can Jackie answer at once?
Jackie does not have to finish one conversation before answering the next. She can hold many patient conversations in parallel, so capacity can scale with demand rather than with the number of receptionists available.
There is no fixed per-practice limit within Jackie herself on the number of simultaneous conversations she can handle.
In practice, the number of calls that can reach Jackie at exactly the same time can also depend on the capacity and configuration of your telephony setup.
What happens if Jackie can’t complete a patient’s request?
Jackie does not guess and does not go beyond the workflows your practice has approved.
If a request cannot be completed within those rules, she passes it to the appropriate practice workflow or team, together with the information she has already gathered from the patient.
Your team remains in control of what Jackie can and cannot complete.
Does Jackie make clinical triage decisions?
No.
Jackie can ask the questions in your practice’s approved triage or consultation workflows and record the patient’s answers, but she does not decide the patient’s clinical priority, diagnosis or treatment.
Where a clinical decision is required, that decision remains with the appropriate clinician or practice team.
Is Jackie safe to use in an NHS GP practice?
Yes. Jackie is purpose-built in the UK for NHS primary care and is designed to operate within the clinical-safety, information-governance and security requirements of GP environments.
Jackie works only within the workflows and permissions your practice approves. She does not make clinical decisions, and she books only into appointment types your practice has explicitly permitted.
Safety guardrails run underneath every call. If Jackie detects a safety indicator — for example possible signs of a stroke, or a patient expressing suicidal thoughts — she interrupts the routine workflow, transfers the call to your reception team immediately and advises the patient to seek urgent care. That is a hazard-mitigation step agreed with your practice, not a clinical assessment; the assessment stays with your team.
Auxilis provides the governance and assurance documentation required for deployment, including:
- DCB0129 clinical safety case and hazard log maintained by Auxilis
- Pre-filled DCB0160 deployment documentation for practice review
- DTAC 2.0 assessed
- NHS DSPT compliant
- Cyber Essentials Plus certified
- UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018 compliant
- ISO 27001 aligned
- Annual penetration testing to CHECK standards
Your practice remains Data Controller, retains control over the workflows Jackie is permitted to perform, and has complete audit trails for governance and review. Nothing goes live until the practice has reviewed and approved the deployment documentation.
Every new version is also tested before release, with test participants calling in and with large numbers of simulated calls, to check she responds to patient requests accurately before any practice sees the change.
